Footnotes[]
Chapter 11, The great flood in Maru-chan's town is based off a actual disaster locally titled the Tanabata Torrential Downpour that Momoko Sakura herself lived through. In 2016, local weathercaster You Nyoumura published a Yahoo News Japan article where he investigated the chapter's story and traced it back to July 7th, 1974 where a 24-hour long rainstorm flooded the Shimizu and Shizuoka areas, causing great infrastructural damage to the towns in the following weeks.
